Gary R. See, CBI, MBA, President

Gary started Business Marketing Services in 1997 in WNC after operating his own brokerage office for 5 years in New York. He started his career in 1976 as a consultant with Arthur Andersen & Company in New York City. At Anderson, he worked with various clients on projects ranging from accounting system design to strategic planning. Following a two year break for graduate school, Gary joined Mobil Oil Corporation. At Mobil he held various positions including Commercial Credit Manager and Planning & Product Economics Supervisor. In the later position, he was responsible for the evaluation of new business opportunities in the eastern US. In 1987 Gary left Mobil and purchased a small manufacturing company in upstate New York through an experienced Intermediary. He ran this company for 10 years and sold it in late 1997. Simultaneously, Gary began his business brokerage career when he opened an office and affiliated with Country Business Inc. the largest regional business brokerage firm in New England. At Country Business, he was responsible for brokerage activities in a 5 county area of upstate New York. He ran this office until relocating to western North Carolina after the sale of his manufacturing business in 1997. Since that time, Gary has helped people transition into independent business and franchise business opportunities.

Gary has a BS in Industrial Distribution from Clarkson College and a MBA in Finance from Columbia University. He has also taken numerous advanced courses in the practice of business appraisal. Gary has held the Certified Business Intermediary (CBI)* of the International Business Brokers Association. He is also a member of the Institute of Business Appraisers and a Licensed Real Estate Broker in North and South Carolina.

*The CBI Designation is earned and maintained through a combination of 60 hours of classroom study, a comprehensive examination, a minimum of 3 years of professional experience, extensive continuing education requirements and adherence to the IBBA code of ethics.

Bonnie J. See

Bonnie has been working in the business brokerage field since 1997 when she and her family moved to Western North Carolina. Her particular areas of interest are new business development and designing the marketing plans and strategies for our Clients. Bonnie began her career as a buyer of childrens' clothing for the J.C. Penney Company in NYC. After a break to raise her children, Bonnie returned to work as an elementary school teacher. Simultaneously, she obtained her real estate license and started an in home stationary business. Bonnie was also heavily involved in the purchase and sale of the family business in New York.

Bonnie has a BS in Marketing from C.W. Post University as well as a MA in Education from The State University of New York at Plattsburgh. She is a licensed real estate broker in the state of North Carolina.
